Heads of Commonwealth Countries were Informed on IPA CIS Work

Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Chairperson of the IPA CIS Council Valentina Matvienko spoke in the Kremlin at an expanded meeting of the Council of the CIS Heads of State.

She told the leaders of the CIS countries about the Assembly’s activities to strengthen integration cooperation, lawmaking, the important IPA CIS mission – election observation, and holding major international events under the auspices of the IPA CIS.

The Chairperson believes that the IPA CIS successful experience and developments could be widely used in the work of other integration parliamentary associations, for example, within the BRICS parliamentary dimension.

Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council Dmitriy Kobitskiy took part in the meeting.
