Regular Meeting of Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives of CIS Member Nations Held in Minsk

On 27 August, a regular meeting of the Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives of the CIS Member Nations at the Statutory and other Bodies of the Commonwealth was held in Minsk. CIS Secretary General Sergey Lebedev took part in the meeting.
The Permanent Representatives basically formed a draft agenda for the meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Commonwealth of Independent States, which is scheduled for 7-8 November in the Russian Federation. The draft includes 20 questions relating mainly to cooperation in the economic sphere. In particular, these are issues of cooperation in transport, civil shipbuilding, financing of various activities within the CIS. One of the important issues is the removal of obstacles to mutual trade. A number of issues are devoted to humanitarian cooperation.
The Council of Permanent Representatives also agreed on the candidacy of CIS Secretary General Sergey Lebedev as Head of the CIS Observer Mission for the elections to the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, which will be held on 27 October 2024.
The next meeting of the Council of the CIS Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives to the Statutory and other Bodies of the Commonwealth is scheduled for 24 September.
