Winners of Competition Russian Language in CIS - New Horizons Awarded at Tavricheskiy Palace

The IPA CIS headquarters hosted a solemn awarding ceremony for 20 winners of the international competition “Russian Language in the CIS - New Horizons” for Russian language teachers from the CIS countries.
Specialist in the Russian language shared their experience of teaching Russian language in schools of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, their wishes and proposals to improve the system of studying Russian language in schools and universities.
A total of 166 specialists from five countries of the Commonwealth took part in the competition. The main prize for the winners was a trip to St. Petersburg. The competition “Russian Language in the CIS - New Horizons” has been held since 2016, over the years of its existence more than 1200 teachers have become its participants.
The project is organized by the Russian Humanitarian Mission with the support of Rossotrudnichestvo, the International Association of Teachers of Russian Language and Literature (MAPRYAL), the Association of Teachers of Russian-speaking educational institutions of Azerbaijan, the Tajikistan-Russia Friendship Society, the Tashkent Association of Teachers of Russian Language and Literature (TOPRYAL), the International Women's Public Fund ‘SHARQ AYOLI’ and is implemented within the framework of the grant of the President of the Russian Federation for the development of civil society, provided by the Presidential Grants Fund.
In 2023, the IPA CIS headquarters hosted the 15th Congress of the International Association of Teachers of Russian Language and Literature ‘Russian Language and Literature in a Changing World’, which was attended by delegates from 55 countries. Last October, the Tavricheskiy Palace also hosted the international conference “Russian Language as a Basis for Integration Dialogue in the CIS”, which, together with the IPA CIS, was organized by the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the Russian National Library, the Boris Yeltsin Presidential Library, St. Petersburg State University, Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia, the International Association of Teachers of Russian Language and Literature and a number of other IPA CIS partner organizations from the CIS countries.
